Plenary Speaker

Dr. Iuliana P. Radu is a distinguished researcher in the semiconductor industry, recognized for her work in defining exploratory logic directions and advancing the scalability of quantum computing. She currently serves as Deputy Director of TSMC’s Corporate Research, where she leads initiatives in exploratory logic and the integration of novel materials into next-generation computing architectures. She has been with TSMC since 2021.

Prior to joining TSMC, Dr. Radu served as Director of Exploratory Logic and Quantum Computing at imec, the renowned European research hub. During her decade-long tenure at imec, she spearheaded research initiatives focused on the "lab-to-fab" transition of new materials for transistors and quantum computing devices. In 2017, she founded imec’s Quantum Computing Program, initiating the first 300mm integration of superconducting qubits as well as superconductor-based 3D integration.

Throughout her career, Dr. Radu has been a prolific researcher, co-authoring over 200 publications and more than 30 patents and patent applications. She has served on the IEDM, ESSDERC, and VLSI-TSA committees and co-organized four symposia at MRS meetings. She is currently a member of the steering committee for ESSERC, the leading European device conference.
